Tiazza was born in the Berber tribe of Tizourzine south of
Morocco, she lives all her life between the Berber tribe, Casablance
and the capital Rabat till the age of 23 when she graduated from the
School of Information Sciences in Rabat, Morocco with a BS degree in
Information Sciences. She then left Morocco in Summer 2001 for a trip
around the world. the trip has taken her to the US, Canada, Japan,
China, Vietnam, Singapore, India, South Africa, Seychelles, Brazil and
Cuba before she came back to NYC and then to Oregon.
After this world trip, Tiazza arrived in NYC, NY for college and moved
to Southern Oregon where she was offered a full scholarship at Southern
Oregon University where she graduated in 2004 with a BA dgree in
Accounting.
Tiazza has always been very active, she started kickboxing at the age
of 14 and competed till the age of 20. After focusing on her college.
she started kickboxing again but this time, she incorporated cardio
and fitness elements to this martial art. She introduced cardio
kickboxing to the Medford YMCA and continues to teach cardio kickboxing
at the Fitness Dance Studio |

But Tiazza's big love is dance,
she has been teaching belly dancing since the age of 19 and she is
currently the artistic director and choreographer of Sahara
Bellydancers, a professional belly dance troupe based in Medford, OR.
Tiazza teaches belly dancing at the Medford YMCA, with the Ashland and
Medford parks and recreation and at the Fitness Dance Studio. Tiazza is
also the new choreographer of the Oregon Conservatory of Performing
Arts dance team.
Although she grew up in Morocco where belly
dance is part of life, she has not studied the dance seriously till she
was in high school but she was physically active all her life.
Tiazza's
style is fast, percussive, graceful, passionate and mesmerising. She is
mastered in Egyptian, Turkish and, Moroccan styles and teaches all
styles as well as floor work, stomack work, veil, wings, zills, canes,
zar and Khaleeji.
Tiazza performed in four international
shows consecutively since 2002 and was featured for her performances
both on the Mail Tribune, Ashland Tidings and The Siskiyou newspapers.
She performs regularly with Sahara Bellydancers, a professional belly
dance troupe based in Medford, OR. Tiazza is the Artistic director and
choreographer of Sahara Bellydancers.
Tiazza has been
teaching Arabic and French all her life as a volunteer in the Berber
villages of Southern Morocco on the border of the African Sahara where
she was born and where no formal schools are available. She thought
Arabic to many Americans while she travelled around the world and
started teaching private classes after she moved to the US. she now
offers several group Arabic classes in Ashland and Medford. Tiazza
teaches a language class rather than a simple conversation classes. She
focuses on the MSA ( Modern Standard Arabic ) which is the only form of
Arabic written and commonly understood in all Arab countries. |
